About
- Mission statement
- We advise BYU students and alumni who are pursuing competitive national and international scholarships, encouraging their personal development as they discover and work toward post-graduate goals.
Scholarship History
Seeing a need to support BYU students through the process of applying for prestigious, post-graduate scholarships, Honors Program administrators established BYU’s National Scholarships and Prestigious Fellowships office (NSPF) in 2019.
Housed in Undergraduate Education, NSPF advisors support BYU’s Aims to strengthen students’ faith, intellect, and character as they work with students to refine and articulate their goals. They advise students on all aspects of the scholarship application process, and as a result, the number of BYU students receiving these awards has steadily increased.

Testimonials

The Office of National Scholarship and Prestigious Fellowships made a world of difference in its application process. I never would have known about the Truman Scholarship if it weren’t for them and their office promoting it, and I think I would have felt completely alone in the application process. But it made a world of difference to have Amy there supporting me, revising so many drafts in my application, prepping me for interviews. She’s also become a great friend. The Office is supportive, full of knowledge about graduate schools and scholarships that no undergraduate student has by themselves. So I could never have done it alone without their help.
