Eligibility
Applicants must be U.S. citizens
Applicants must have completed their first undergraduate degree by the grant start date
Students must not have completed a Ph.D.

Only U.S. citizens may apply
Additional requirements
Those applying for a Fulbright study award must also apply to their chosen graduate program
Those applying for a Fulbright research grant must acquire a letter of affiliation from their host country

Personal flexibility and adaptability
GPA
There is no minimum GPA for the Fulbright Program
If you are pursuing a graduate degree award, you must be eligible for acceptance to the graduate school to which you are applying
BYU application deadline
The application opens in April
BYU internal deadlines begin at the end of August
Applicants will be interviewed by an on-campus committee
Scholarship deadline
The foundation deadline is usually the second week of October.
