The Gates Cambridge Scholarship is an international postgraduate award for students to study at the University of Cambridge, with approximately 25 US Recipients selected each year.

Eligibility
- Citizens from any country outside of the U.K. may apply

Applicants must apply for one of the following to be considered:
- Ph.D. (full time or part time)
- M.Litt. (full time)
- One-year, full-time postgraduate course (See here for exceptions)
- There is no age requirement to apply
Citizenship
- Both U.S. and International students (except U.K. citizens) may apply
- Approximately 25 scholarships available in U.S. round
- Approximately 55 scholarships available in international round

- Applicants must apply to the graduate program they hope to attend in addition to applying for the scholarship

- Any required GPA is determined by individual graduate programs at Cambridge

- The application opens in early September
- There is no BYU internal deadline
- No BYU endorsement required to apply
