Amy McLaughlin
Amy McLaughlin is the office of National Scholarships and Prestigious Fellowships coordinator. McLaughlin earned a Master of Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and graduated with honors from Brigham Young University where she studied English teaching and journalism.
Before joining National Scholarships and Prestigious Fellowships, McLaughlin worked as a graduate school application consultant for 17 years and taught high school English for several years. McLaughlin finds it rewarding to work with outstanding students that are dedicated to making an impact for good. Outside of work, McLaughlin loves spending time with her family and traveling.

Charlene Lee
Charlene Fernando is the office of National Scholarships and Prestigious Fellowships assistant coordinator. She has previously worked in positions such as student advisor, career mentor, and the assistant chief of staff at BYU-Hawaii. With her experiences as an English education major, she has found an admiration for how research and writing can unlock the powerful creativity and logic of the human mind.
As a Filipino American, Fernando's rich cultural experiences in different states in the US, the Philippines, and connections from a worldwide student body at BYU-Hawaii have shaped her growing love for serving and being with people. She enjoys long conversations with friends, spending time with her husband, and singing karaoke with her family.
